Time For Catching Up

Apparently I am VERY behind in my blogging. OOPS!

A few weeks ago (Ok like 2 1/2) Baby J and I went to Lake Powell with my family for a bit. Sigh. I LOVE LP. I would live there a good chunk of the year if I could. This year our family was very lucky & we got to stay on a house boat for 4 days.
**SHOUT OUT TO MY AMAZING PARENTS FOR GETTING A HOUSE BOAT!!**
It was Ah-may-zing. My sister and her family, my brother and his wife, Baby J & I, and my parents spent 4 days and 3 nights tucked away in a little cove in Warm Creek Bay. It was mostly rainy this year, but none of us minded because it was SOO nice just to get away from life for a little while.
It was the perfect get a way. Since it was mostly rainy, we stayed close to the HB and played around. Grandpa and Kiki did some fishing.
Todd, Steve & Sara played on the slide...
The little kids hung out inside most of the time...

Apparently I'm struggling today & can't get this picture to rotate.. oh well..
Toddy still counts as a little kid to me even though he's almost 23. HOLY COW 23?!
Eventually we got to do some boating between storms.
Kiki and Lindsay having fun on the boat..
I am so proud of myself for surfing without falling into the water at any time! For those of you who have boated with me, this has NEVER happened in the last 16 years I have been a "boater". My cousin Ryan would be so proud of me.
I was even so lucky to get to go swimming with Kiki! Luckily Baby J stayed on the HB with Grandma so mommy could go play on the boat. THANKS GRANDMA!
Wednesday night, this was the sunset after the rain storm. Isn't it beautiful?
And then this is what I woke up to out my "bedroom" window the next morning.
Later that day I was able to finally take Baby J swimming. Luckily for me he LOVES the water.
I walked down a ways on the beach to find a nice, ant free place to sit. This is what I came up with.

Ahh all nice and warm again...
At night we'd hang out as a family and watch movies, play cards, pretty much just relax.
I think this was the night we watched Tangled. That's what you get when a 3 1/2 year old brings all her movies. Good thing we all liked it!
 Kiki sure loves her grandma.
Chase is such a cutie. I can't believe he's already 1 and walking up a storm. Pretty soon it will be Baby J doing that. SCARY! Chase and Baby J are going to be the best of friends as soon as Baby J can crawl around. During our trip Chase would stand up and play with the toys and Baby J would just watch him. Love this kid!

And then the sad part came. We had to come home. Kiki told Grandpa, "Grandpa I'm going to sell my house in ******* and move on the camper." (She kept calling the HB a camper) I wanted to throw a fit just like my 4 year old self could and stay with her. SIGH maybe next year Kik, maybe next year.
